EUTOKIA: Happy Childbirth –ANTENATAL COURSE WITH THE ALEXANDER TECHNIQUE

Eutokia: Happy Childbirth is a method for psychophysical preparation for Pregnancy and Childbirth. This method is developed through a series of weekly lessons. The lessons are aimed at pregnant women to prepare her body to get a better body awareness, to recover their natural balance, to learn not to interfere in the body muscle chains and to allow movement to occur spontaneously.

We will practice useful movements and positions for each stage: pregnancy, childbirth and postpartum, and we will learn to do a better use of our body during daily activities.

Eutokia is a Greek word meaning “happy childbirth” that Ilana Machover has adopted to describe her application of the Alexander Technique to pregnancy and childbirth. Ilana developed her Eutokia classes as a result of many years of experience as an Alexander Teacher, and National Childbirth Trust (NCT) teacher and as a Doula.
